WINES OF CALIFORNIA

Napa - Sonoma valley

vines

We left San Francisco (see previous) and temperature immediately increased from 17 to 27 degrees Celcius! We arrived in Santa Rosa in Sonoma Valley to taste some wines. One of our favorite vineyard is Kendall Jackson located in Sonoma (we drink this wine whenever we feel like splurging 24$ on a bottle). We spent almost 3 hours there touring the garden and sampling wines and food. They have a wine-food pairing for 30$ that includes 7 wines paired with 7 entrées. It was simply amazing. The chef and sommelier came every 5-10 minutes to explain what they had prepared for us. It was a sublime experience. After 2 days in Sonoma, we left for Napa Valley and camped 2 nights in Botthe Napa Valley State Park (hotels were too expensive!). The vineyards and wines tasted there were phenomenal! Most wineries charge 15$ or 20$ to taste between 4 to 7 wines.
We visited some top vineyards including B Cellars, Napa Cellars, Follie à Deux and many more.
