(PREVIOUS TO WHISLER)
We were so excited to reach the Canadian Rockies!
I visited this part of Canada 16 years ago, but didn’t remember much of it.
We spent 3 days in Canyon Hot Springs located exactly between Revelstoke National Park & Glacier National Park.  The views were spectacular, but not as pretty as Rogers Pass or even Banff National Park.
We met our friends from Québec (they were on a road trip as well) and spent 8 days in Banff…  Hiking, mountain biking, running, rafting, clubbing, etc.  We had a new adventure planned everyday of the week.  I would do this all my life if I could!  I can’t think of any better way of life than to mountain bike with Wapitis, raft the best rivers with the best sceneries ever and finish everyday with a cold beer around a warm fire.
Temperature really started to fall and most nights were below freezing.  At this point of our trip, we were at more than 24 consecutive nights of camping.
The sky was blue more than ever when we visited Lac Louise.  We raft on Lac Louise and hiked at the other side.  The glaciers were impressive and the color of the water as well.  Nevertheless, we all preferred Moraine Lake with was 14km away from Lac Louise.
We drove through the Columbia Icefields (more than 300 glaciers from the last ice age) and ended our journey in Jasper National Park.
The desire to go hom was calling... WE drove from Jasper to Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina in 2 days. We stopped in Winnipeg and visited some friends and drove another 2400km in 3 days to reach MONTREAL.
