Two weeks in the Bahamas eating conch and seafood!
We started our trip by staying 2 nights in Nassau.  I found that Paradise island (and its surrounding) was very popular (during the day) with too many tourists coming from massive cruise ships, but the place was calmer and quitter at night.   Every night, we went out to eat from local eateries at Potter’s Cay dock.  Fish and chips and fried conch were delicious!

We took as small plane and flew to Andros Island.  I did not know that such a place would still exist on Earth… We rented a small house directly on a deserted white, powdery beach.

The beach was 2-3km long and we were the ONLY accommodation on the beach.  The closest bar/restaurant/house/ civilisation were more than 2km away!  For more than a week, we snorkeled, went fishing for conch and saw a dolphin on Christmas day!

This place was not a typical beach destination as we felt like Tom Hanks in the movie Cast Away…  We saw one person on the road leading to our rented place in one week.

I biked into town every other day to get some food (and rum!) supplies.  The beach was completely deserted and even the small Andros town (4km away) had absolutely no night life! Conclusion: a paradise island off the beaten track!
