Whisler was a nice surprise.  I didn’t really want to go, but the Olympic atmosphere was still there and the amazing blue sky made views from the summit of Black Comb and Whisler Peak simply heaven like.

The cable car between the two summits was very impressive and we managed to hike many kilometers around both peaks with spectacular views on all sides.

We also had the visit of many black bears around our tent during our 3 day stay.  To wake up in the morning and see a mommy bear less than 5m away from your tent is an adrenaline feeling, trust me!

I couldn't resist the temptation to drink a cold beer at an elevation of 2200m to celebrate my sabbatical year.
